The Chinese Canadian Information Technology Association (CCITA) is a non-profit organization registered in British Columbia, Canada, under the Society Act in Jan. 2001. CCITA is an IT professionals` association for Chinese-Canadians, landed immigrants and companies in the IT field of Metro-Vancouver area.
CCITA is a young but fast growing association with more than 400 formally registered members and over thousands of non-registered members who participated in our various activities in Metro-Vancouver since 2001. More and more IT professionals and those who have enthusiasm in establishing an attractive and effective Chinese IT community joined the association and made their efforts. Every one of us has showed great interests and high expectations for this young association. The mission of the association is:
•To provide an efficient channel in promoting the exchange of ideas, knowledge, work experiences, and career developments in information technologies and related fields among its members.
•To foster a steady growth for a community in which members will receive valuable information, help and opportunities provided by other members.
•To act as an entity of experienced and specialized IT professionals, participating in IT activities and projects in local communities, and contributing to the popularization and development of IT technology locally.
•To help new Chinese immigrants for their employment integration and for seeking their IT careers in Canada.
•To establish cooperative relationships with other relevant organizations.
Currently, CCITA regular activities include IT seminars and salons on a monthly basis. We also organize IT career seminars, summer weekend sports, picnics and parties on holidays, etc. Interest Groups promote in-depth discussions among CCITA members with similar professional taste and expertise.
