    Founded in 2008, the Wuxi Association of the Greater Washington Area (WAGWA) is a non-profit, non-political organization.

    WAGWA aims to promote friendship, communication, and mutual benefit among Wuxi natives in the Greater Washington Area and the United States; to promote friendship between the United States and China; to strengthen connections with our beloved hometown, greater Wuxi area; and to provide constructive ideas on Wuxi`s development.

    WAGWA is the first community association for Wuxi natives in the United States, with local members in greater DC area and members of communication all around the United States, the vast majority of whom are students and professionals from Wuxi, China.

    WAGWA welcomes members from across the United States. Membership is free. All board members are volunteers, dedicated to serving the community.
