    Joint Base Andrews (JB Andrews) is a military joint base of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps located in Prince George`s County, Maryland, USA. The base`s primary mission is to provide worldwide advanced air traffic control, early warning and communications support.

    Joint Base Andrews is one of the primary air traffic hubs for the President of the United States and other senior government officials, and a key base for the U.S. Air Force with a variety of military missions, including fighter aircraft, air refueling, airborne early warning, airlift and strategic bombing.

    The base has two airfields: Andrews Field and Camp David, the U.S. presidential alternate airfield. Andrews Field is a major military airfield with facilities that include a terminal building, several aprons, maintenance facilities, air cargo storage and air refueling services. The U.S. Presidential Alternate Airport is located on Catoctin Mountain in northwestern Maryland and is used primarily as a refuge for the President of the United States and other senior government officials.

    Joint Base Andrews also houses many other facilities, including lodging, mess halls, hospitals, stores, educational and recreational facilities, and more. While these facilities are primarily for military personnel and dependents, they may also be open to the public in certain circumstances, such as airport tours and air shows.
