Afyon Airport (IATA: AFY, ICAO: LTAF) is an international airport located in the city of Afyon, Afyon Province, in western Turkey. The airport is located in the west of Afyon city, about 20 km from the city center and about 200 km from Istanbul, the capital of Afyon province. The airport was opened in 1962 and is the largest airport in western Turkey and the third largest airport in Turkey.
The airport has a 3,200 meter long runway that can accommodate large passenger aircraft. The airport has an international terminal to cater for international flights. The airport also has a domestic terminal for domestic flights. The airport also has an apron that can accommodate up to 20 aircraft.
The airport can accommodate over 2 million passengers per year and is one of the most important airports in western Turkey. The airport has upwards of 50 flights per day, including international and domestic flights. The airport also provides cargo services and can accommodate more than 100,000 tons of cargo per year.
