Buckley Air Force Base (BAFB), located in Aurora, Colo.
BAFB is a major base of the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command and is a key component of the Air Force`s global counterterrorism strategy. The base is primarily used to support fighter aircraft, air refueling aircraft, intelligence collection and air traffic control missions. The base is also home to many special forces, including Air Combat Command, the National Security Agency, and the Air Intelligence Agency.
The base is home to a variety of combat and support aircraft, such as F-16 fighter jets, C-21 military airliners, and E-3 AWACS early warning aircraft, as well as many military and civilian personnel. In addition, Buckley AFB is one of the key training bases for the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard.
