    Bhawalpur Airport was originally built in 1927 as a military airport and later developed into a civilian airport. The airport currently has a limited route network, mainly serving some cities in Pakistan, such as Karachi and Lahore.

    The runway of Bahawalpur Airport is 1800 meters long and 45 meters wide, which can meet the landing and take-off needs of small passenger aircraft such as ATR 42 and ATR 72. In recent years, the Pakistani government has carried out a series of renovation and upgrading works at Bahawalpur Airport to improve the operational capacity and service level of the airport and further promote the development of the local economy and tourism.
