Suvarnabhumi Airport, located in Bangkok, Thailand, is the largest international airport in Thailand and one of the largest airports in Southeast Asia. The airport was officially opened on September 28, 2006, replacing the former Don Mueang International Airport as Bangkok`s main international airport. The airport has two runways, one 4.5 km long and the other 3.7 km long, which can accommodate large passenger aircraft at the same time, with a capacity of over 60 aircraft per hour. The airport has three terminals, including the main terminal which, at 564,000 square meters, is the largest in Southeast Asia. The airport has over 200 stores and restaurants offering a variety of services including banking, ATM, money transfer, shopping, dining and more.
