    Huizhou Pingtan Airport (IATA: HUZ, ICAO: ZGHZ), located in Pingtan Town, Huiyang District, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is a medium-sized civil airport, which was officially opened to traffic on December 28, 2006. The airport is about 25 kilometers away from Huizhou city, 90 kilometers away from Shenzhen city and 50 kilometers away from Zhuhai city.

    The airport has a 2.8 km runway with a width of 45 meters, which can accommodate large and medium-sized passenger planes to take off and land at the same time. The airport can accommodate 100 flights per day, and has a terminal building which can accommodate 400 people to wait for planes at the same time. The airport has passenger transportation, baggage, aviation services, security check, air traffic control and other service facilities to meet the travel needs of passengers.

    At present, Huizhou Pingtan Airport has opened domestic routes, including Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Guiyang, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xi`an, Changsha, Xiamen, Haikou, Urumqi and other cities, as well as international routes, including Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Chiang Mai, Vientiane, Nha Trang and other cities.
