    Kansai International Airport (KIA), located in the Kansai area of Osaka Prefecture, Japan, is the third largest international airport in Japan and the largest maritime airport in Japan, located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay. Officially opened on September 4, 1994, the airport was the first privately financed airport in Japan and the first in the world to be built on an artificial island.

    Kansai International Airport has two runways, a main runway and an alternate runway, the main runway is 4,000 meters long and 60 meters wide, and the alternate runway is 3,000 meters long and 45 meters wide. The airport has three terminals, the Domestic Terminal, the International Terminal and the Japan Airlines Terminal, with a total of 90 waiting rooms and a capacity of over 2,000 passengers.

    With a capacity of over 20 million passengers per year, Kansai International Airport is one of the most important international airports in Japan and the largest international airport in the country. The airport has daily flights from all over the world, with major routes including Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, London, New York, etc.
