Taichung Qingquan Gang Airport (IATA: RMQ, ICAO: RCMQ) is located in the Qingquan Gang district of Taichung City, Taiwan, and is the second largest international airport in Taiwan and the largest inland airport in Taiwan. Construction of the airport began in 1936 and it was officially put into service in 1939, making it one of the earliest airports in Taiwan. The airport is located in Taichung City, Qingquan Gang District, about 20 km from the center of Taichung City, about 25 km from Taichung Port, and about 50 km from Taichung International Airport. The airport is equipped with a 3,200-meter runway that can accommodate the takeoff and landing of large passenger aircraft. The airport can accommodate over 2 million passengers per year, making it the second largest airport in Taiwan. The airport has a good transportation network that provides easy access to Taichung City and other cities.
