Sanming Shaxian Airport (IATA: SQJ) is a small civil airport located in Shaxian, Sanming City, Fujian Province, officially opened to traffic on December 28, 2008, which is the third civil airport in Fujian Province and the first civil airport named after a county in Fujian Province. The airport is located in the north of Sha County, about 20 kilometers from Sha County, about 50 kilometers from Sanming City and about 90 kilometers from Xiamen City. The airport covers an area of about 2.5 square kilometers, with a runway length of 1,800 meters and a width of 30 meters, which can accommodate medium and large passenger aircraft at the same time. The airport has a terminal building, which can accommodate 200 people waiting for planes at the same time, with facilities such as security check, baggage claim, waiting room and business room. At present, the airport can realize 20 flights per day, which can realize the air connection between Sanming Shaxian and many domestic cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Guiyang, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Ningbo, Nanchang, Qingdao, Jinan, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin and Urumqi.
