Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (IATA: CTU, ICAO: ZUUU) is an international airport in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, located in the southwest of Chengdu Shuangliu County, about 20 km from the center of Chengdu, and is the largest airport in central and western China and one of the largest international aviation hubs in China. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport was officially opened on December 28, 2016, and is the third international airport in China and the first international airport construction project in China.
Chengdu Tianfu International Airport has three runways, including the main runway, which is 4,200 meters long and 60 meters wide, and can accommodate medium and large passenger aircraft at the same time, and can meet the take-off and landing requirements of large passenger aircraft such as the A380. The airport has domestic and international terminals with a total floor area of 12,000 square meters, which can accommodate up to 3,000 passengers per hour. The airport has an advanced aircraft management system to meet the various needs of airlines and provide safe, efficient and comfortable services.
Chengdu Tianfu International Airport has opened a number of domestic and international routes, including international routes to Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, the United States, Canada and other countries and regions, and domestic routes covering the whole country. The airport also provides duty-free stores, catering, shopping and lounge services to provide passengers with a more convenient travel experience.
