Yueyang Sanhe Airport (IATA: YYA, ICAO: ZSYA), located in Yueyang City, Hunan Province, is the second international airport in Hunan Province and the third passenger airport in Hunan Province. The airport is located in Sanhe Town, Furong District, Yueyang City, about 25 kilometers from the center of Yueyang City and 90 kilometers from the center of Changsha City. The airport was officially opened to traffic on December 28, 2016, and is the first airport in Hunan Province named after "Sanhe".
The airport covers an area of about 2.2 square kilometers and has a 2.5-kilometer-long runway with a width of 45 meters, which can accommodate medium-sized airliners such as A320s at the same time. The airport has a terminal building with an area of 35,000 square meters, which can accommodate 800 passengers at the same time. The airport can accommodate 100 flights per day and 500,000 passengers per year.
The airport is equipped with passenger, cargo, baggage, air traffic control, aviation services, maintenance, fuel, meteorology, communication, fire fighting and other service facilities to meet passenger and cargo transportation needs.
