One Tea One Ch`an (Zen), enjoy the purity of tea with a heart of ease; sense the meaning of Ch`an (Zen) in tea, enjoy a moment of utmost tranquility.
The culture of Ch’an (Zen) Tea was root from China that first blossomed in Tang Dynasty (618-907 B.C.). It is easy to enter the learning of Dao through tea, but it is challenging to be enlightened by the wisdom of Ch’an (Zen) in tea.
Tea perhaps is the most easily accepted healthy drink that we can represent Chinese culture to the world, but often it is also easily misunderstood or misused.
There is no tea culture in Belgium; people in general have little knowledge about tea. Mei Lan Hsiao started to promote Chinese tea culture in Belgium since 1995. In 2006 she established a permanent home to promote the wisdom of Ch’an and the art of tea in Antwerp. Recent years tea gradually becomes popular, instead of going with the market flow, Mei Lan adapts a higher quality standards to protect the essence of Chinese tea culture by serving carefully selected quality tea from Taiwan and China.
Lan Ting Tea Zen Atelier closes to the heart of Antwerp (abt. 5 minutes by walking). It is an oasis to the centre of city where people can enjoy fine quality pure tea from Taiwan and China in a peaceful and calm environment. The atelier also provides tea, meditation and Chinese philosophy Tea Lounge workshops.
