The Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (ACPPRC) is dedicated to world peace and harmony. It promotes not only friendly ties between Australia and China, but also promotes exchanges and cooperation in economic and cultural spheres between the two countries.
ACPPRC is a non-profit organisation formed in July 2000 in Sydney. Its main purpose is to unite overseas efforts in promoting and supporting the reunification of the two parts China across the Taiwan Strait, while also working to further strengthen Australia - China relations.
The Council membership comprises of leading figures in the Australian and Chinese communities with interests ranging from the arts to literature, entertainment, medicine, law, import and exports and representatives from major international corporations.
ACPPRC has taken an active part in the activities of Australian society and international relief work. It has made donations to earthquake, snow, bushfire, drought, flood and typhoon disaster relief efforts.
"Eyes on China" free cataract surgery medical mission is an ACPPRC`s annual charity project. It has received warm support from both the Australian and Chinese governments.
