  • The Association of Chinese Scientists and Engineers-USA

    The Association of Chinese Scientists and Engineers-USA (ACSE) was founded in 1992 by a group of Chinese professionals. It is an IRS approved 501(c)3, independent, non-political, and not-for-profit organization.
    With its headquarter located in Chicago and twelve local chapters throughout the US (Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New Jersey, New York, Phoenix, and Washington D.C.), the organization has attracted about 1000 members, 90% of them with degrees of Master or Ph.D.. Currently, there are twelve professional societies affiliated with ACSE, including Telecommunication, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Management of Business Administration, Medical Sciences, Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Future, Options & Finance, law, and Intelligent Transportation Systems.

    To promote friendship and fellowship among the members and the Chinese community.
    To promote the exchange of professional information and experience to help member`s career development, growth, and success.
    To promote exchange and cooperation between the United States and China in the areas of science, technology, culture, education and business.
    To facilitate members to play a more active role in American society.

    Professional Activities of ACSE
    ACSE Annual Conference and Spring Symposium
    One of the most influential activities among Chinese American professionals in Chicago area. Worldwide recognized leaders have been invited as the keynote speakers. Among them are Consul General of People抯 Republic of China in Chicago Mr. Jingzhong Xu, Vice Minister of Science & Technology Ministry of China Dr. Jingpei Cheng, the former US Defense Secretary Mr. William Cohen, the first USA ambassador in China Mr. R. Woodcock, the former Chinese Ambassador in USA Mr. Daoyu Li. Prominent entrepreneurs in Fortune 500 companies Mr. Thomas Chen (Vice President at Abbott Laboratories), Mr. Keith Tenbrook (Vice President, Motorola) and David Lum (Director of Asian, Pacific Operation & Tech Support, Motorola), other leaders include Mr. Jerry Mitchell, President of Midwest Entrepreneurs Forum, and Dr. William Kirschenbaum, Chairman of Triglobal Capital Holding Group, etc. have also addressed in ACSE symposiums.
