Campsie Cultural Center Inc. was established in 1995 and is a not-for-profit organization. Our aim is to promote Chinese culture and Heritage in Australia. We also provide assistance to newly arrived immigrants and various community services and activities.

In the early eighties, our founders, Kenny Lau and Dr. Raymond Tung established a clinic to provide services in family medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine to the community. In those days, there were only a handful of Chinese community organizations. Migrants experienced a lot of difficulties in adapting to their new life due to changes of environment and language barriers. Many of them were not able to cope with their daily problems. In view of this, Kenny Lau with the support of Wilson Chieng, Dr. Raymond Tung and other volunteers founded this Center to provide assistance to the new migrants and assist them to integrate into the mainstream Australian society. Their work includes organizing cultural activities, information services on social welfare, health, education, legal aids and job searching. Information seminars, social and recreational activities were organised. The aim is to assist the integration of migrants into the mainstream Australian society so that they can enjoy a happy and healthy life.

The Center also raise fund for charity. Funds have been raised to help the Chinese Flood victims and victims of the El Salvador and Indian Earthquakes. All donations were passed on to the International Red Cross for distribution to the appropriate victims.

We also promote Chinese culture and heritage in Australia. To this end, we have set up the Campsie Cultural Center Arts Trust fund to promote Chinese literature, music, visual art and craft.
