David W. Chia, M.D. FACS MBA David W. Chia, M.D. FACS MBA is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined Irvine Eye Medical Group in 2006. He completed his 3-year ophthalmology training program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to that, he finished a transitional medicine internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He graduated medical school from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania where he delivered the medical school commencement address. Dr. David Chia received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine Merage School of Management and attended Rice University in Houston, Texas for undergraduate studies in Biochemistry.
