Garmin was incorporated in Switzerland on February 9, 2010, as successor to Garmin Ltd., a Cayman Islands company (“Garmin Cayman”). Garmin Cayman was incorporated on July 24, 2000, as a holding company for Garmin Corporation, a Taiwanese corporation, in order to facilitate a public offering of Garmin Cayman shares in the United States.
