    Location

Through the love of God, Garden of Hope is dedicated to serving, caring and rebuilding the lives of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking, particularly Chinese new immigrants.

According to the year 2000 US Census, about 374,000 Chinese individuals live in New York City, 70% are new immigrants, representing the second largest foreign-born population. Immigrant victims are often underserved because of cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic barriers that preventing them from seeking help.

Garden of Hope, located in the new immigrant urban area, has provided services to hundreds families through culturally-relevant crisis intervention, individual counseling, support groups, advocacy, case management, translation services, and referrals. We work closely with the community, and has greatly raised public awareness of domestic violence prevention and recovery through weekly broadcast, newspaper features, newsletters and workshops.
