The Shandong Association of BC was registered and officially approved by the BC government in January 1994. It is a non-profit, non-political organization that serves to connect the Shandong people in the BC area. The purpose of the association is to promote friendship, unity, mutual assistance, and common development among Shandong people, as well as to promote cultural and economic exchanges between China and Canada and foster friendly cooperation between the people of the two countries. Anyone who is from Shandong or interested in Shandong culture can join the association on a voluntary basis.
