    Wake Island Flight Field, located in the Pacific Northwest, is a major base for the U.S. Air Force and Navy and an important military and aviation staging area. Located on Wake Island, approximately 2,300 kilometers from Hawaii, it is a small island of approximately 6.2 square kilometers and consists of three islands, the largest of which has an air base and an airfield on it.
