    Barkash Airport (IATA: BXH) is located in Barkash, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. Completed in 1958, Balkhash Airport is the first international airport in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and one of the largest airports in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The airport is located in the northeast of Balkhash city, about 20 kilometers from the city center and 400 kilometers from Urumqi city.

    With a 3,200-meter runway that can accommodate large passenger aircraft, Balkhash Airport is one of the largest airports in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The airport has an international terminal to cater to international passenger traffic and can accommodate over 2 million passengers per year. The airport has comprehensive aviation facilities, including aircraft maintenance, fuel, flight planning, aviation security, aviation information, aviation management, and aviation safety.

    Balkhash Airport is currently served by several airlines, including domestic airlines such as Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and China United Airlines, as well as international airlines such as Emirates, British Airways and Russian Airlines. The airport can arrange up to 50 flights per day, connecting several cities inside and outside the XUAR, providing important support to the tourism and economic development of the XUAR.
