    Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA), located in the western part of Iran`s capital city Tehran, is the largest international airport in Iran and the most important international aviation hub in the country. Officially opened in 1989, the airport was named in honor of Imam Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

    IKA Airport has two runways, one of which is 4.2 kilometers long, the longest runway in Iran, and can accommodate large passenger aircraft. The airport has three terminals, two of which are dedicated to international flights and the other to domestic flights. With a capacity of over 15 million passengers per year, the airport is one of the most important international aviation hubs in Iran.

    IKA Airport has excellent facilities including a business center, banks, currency exchange, restaurants, shopping centers, car rental, hotels and more. The airport also offers free Wi-Fi service for passengers to access the Internet while waiting for their flights.
