Located on the west bank of the Lancang River, Lancang Jingmai Airport (JMJ) is an international class airport, which was officially opened on December 28, 2015. The airport is located in Jingmai town on the west bank of the Lancang River, only 20 km from Jinghong, 50 km from Xishuangbanna, and 200 km from Kunming. The airport covers an area of about 3.5 square kilometers and has a 3,200-meter-long runway, which can accommodate medium and large passenger aircraft at the same time. The airport has an international terminal with a capacity of more than 1,000 passengers and comprehensive facilities for security check, check-in, baggage claim and business lounge. The airport offers more than 20 flights per day, connecting Kunming, Xishuangbanna and Jinghong, as well as many cities in China and abroad.
