Aéroport de Tiaret Bou Chekif is located in Tiaret, the capital of Tiaret Province in western Algeria, and is one of the main airports in the region.
Built in 1942 as a simple landing strip for aircraft, the airport was gradually expanded over time. Today, Bushekif Airport is an important transportation hub for Tiaret and the surrounding area, with many daily flights between the airport and cities such as Algiers.
With a runway length of 3,000 meters and a width of 45 meters, Bushekif Airport can accommodate medium-sized passenger aircraft such as Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The airport`s terminal building has an area of about 2,500 square meters and offers stores, restaurants, cafes and other services, as well as supporting facilities such as a cargo area and parking lots. The airport mainly serves domestic flights, but there are also a few international flights to Europe and North Africa.
