SCEC was founded in February 2008 by several families in Surrey who belonged to the Chinese Gospel Church. Under the call and touch of the Triune God, it was created after a long period of prayer. The church completed its registration in 2015 and is now an independently registered and self-managed local church under the Southern Baptist Convention. The church’s vision and mission is to build a new type of local church that is missionary to the outside world, caring for the inside, serving everyone, and glorifying God.
