The Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) was formally inaugurated on 27th January, 1986 under the joint sponsorship of Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan, Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan, Singapore Kwang Tung Association, Nanyang Khek Community Guild, The Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan, Sam Kiang Huay Kwan, Singapore Foochow Association. The SFCCA’s primary objectives are: to strengthen cooperation among the clan associations, to organize and support educational, cultural and community activities,and to promote Chinese language, Chinese culture and traditions.
Since its inception, the Federation has initiated many social and cultural activities to promote Chinese virtues and traditions and the Chinese language. It has become a major organization in the Singapore Chinese community.
